After creating an awareness on the importance of reflecting on our habits, the lecture focuses on more technical elements: The importance of vitamins, minerals and phytochemicals in our diet. It explains the function and classification of those different micronutrients, as well as the possible results of deficiencies. Laying this groundwork the lecture ends on the importance of eating an abundance of fruits and vegetables to supply our needs of micronutrients in a balanced and natural way.
